This series is inspired by an oral myth of pastoral nomads, the Qashqai people, a conglomeration of clans in Iran who are renowned for their pile carpets and other woven wool products. Through these symbolic narratives the significance of women as a source of life, and how they are intuitively altruistic have been deliberately indicated. As likely as numerous mythological ideologies by indigenous around the globe. However, having this notion resulted in a set of ideas about women’s roles in society. Sort of unrealistic societal expectations that tend to define a positional role of females as whether a daughter, a sister, a wife and most importantly a mother. Moreover, in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, women achieved significant progress in economically progressive areas while in developing areas women remain subjugated or even are stripped of any human rights. Where women heaven inferior social status by customary or formal law, exploitation and outright violence are yet considered to be accepted. Breath of Kilim is to highlight the women of faith those who have been historically playing a pivotal role in challenging gender inequality, and those who continue to defy stereotypes in politics, and societies.
