Salmah's artistic concept revolves around her personal journey of exploration within her hometown of Ghayathi. Inspired by her experiences of moving to Abu Dhabi and embarking on weekly round trips, she began to view Ghayathi from an outsider's perspective, sparking her curiosity about the origins of the city's name and its significance. The narrative traces back to the Bedouins who first discovered a source of groundwater in the area, leading to the establishment of Ghayathi as a city of grace and rest. As one of the pioneering families in Ghayathi, Salmah reflects on her family's connection to the city and its role as a sanctuary amidst the desert landscape.

“I reminisce in colours” delves into the diverse landscapes of Ghayathi, from the expansive desert to the evolving urban environment, capturing the essence of the city that has shaped her identity. Through painting, Salmah finds solace and healing, expressing her experiences and emotions through intricate mark-making and layers of color. Each stroke represents a fragment of her journey and a reflection of the places and spaces that hold significance in her life.
