Can I Still Consider You Home? traces memory through fragile surfaces of handmade alfalfa paper sourced from the landscape itself. Through the use of laser engraving, architectural fragments and intimate sites are etched into layered grounds, transforming the paper into both archive and witness.
The series reflects on transformation, displacement, and the evolving relationship between people and place. Architectural forms emerge as traces rather than complete records, suggesting the instability of memory and the ways in which familiar environments continue to shift over time.
By combining handmade materials with contemporary processes, the works explore how memory becomes embedded within physical surfaces. The series asks whether acts of making, recording, and inscription can preserve what is no longer present, and whether a place can continue to exist as home once it has been altered, transformed, or lost.
