Khozema Al-Aaed
This work continues Al Aaed’s exploration of cartography through memory.
Each 40 by 40 cm panel carries a distinct symbol and forms part of a larger constellation of more than fifty works, dispersed across the wall like fragments of an unseen map. Fragmented, yet connected.
Cavities carved into the surface suggest spaces that once held presence. These voids act as traces of memory and lived experience.
There is no fixed narrative. The work remains open, inviting viewers to project their own recollections onto the surface.
Eroded metal and layered textures reinforce the idea that memory is built through accumulation and imprint.
Together, the panels form an emotional network of memory and meaning.
