Tallaa’s tile series forms the exhibition’s most expansive gesture, transforming discarded wood into surfaces that carry traces of time and memory. Using sand, acrylic, charcoal, and pigments, he creates faint, almost disappearing facial forms that emerge at the edge of visibility, inviting closer observation. Together, the tiles become a collective archive of presences, where repetition reveals the beauty of deterioration and transformation. Rather than mourning what is lost, the works embrace fading marks, worn textures, and imperfection as a reflection of time, memory, and the ongoing nature of experience.
