Sarine Samerjian
In Olea, the tree becomes a living body.
Roots extend like limbs beneath the earth while branches intertwine to form a collective presence, blurring the boundaries between landscape and anatomy. Eyes emerge among the foliage, suggesting perception beyond the visible and inviting the viewer into a world where consciousness exists within nature itself.
The work reflects Sarine's ongoing exploration of interconnectedness, between body and landscape, memory and place, the individual and the collective. Rather than standing as a solitary tree, Olea becomes a living network, reminding us that identity is shaped through countless unseen connections.
