In "Simplicity of Islam" Khalid Zahid tackles the sensitive topic of religion with a refreshing and sincere approach. In a region where discussing religion can often be contentious, Zahid aims to bridge the gap between different perspectives by presenting Islam in a straightforward and accessible manner. Inspired by the notion that religion should be simple rather than complex, Zahid's series challenges the stereotype of religion as stifling or oppressive.

Through his artwork, Zahid invites viewers to reconsider their preconceptions and find common ground, emphasizing the shared humanity that unites us all. The series portrays sheikhs engaged in playful activities such as riding carousels, making balloon animals, and bouncing on trampolines, illustrating the concept that religion should be approached with a sense

of joy and simplicity, rather than perceived as burdensome or inaccessible.
