Khozema Al-Aaed
In this work, Al Aaed reimagines the map as a human journey rather than a geographic construct. Intersecting red lines evoke invisible systems and constraints, reflecting the tension between freedom and limitation.
Carved cavities reveal human faces and symbols of justice, suggesting resilience beneath external pressures. Layered textures and eroded metal speak to a life shaped by time and friction, while a dense formation disrupts linear movement. Freedom is not resolved, but continually pursued. It is not a map of territory, but of the human condition.
