HANDPAINTING COSMOS: Kaikhan Salakhov on sacred geometry, sci-fi and spirituality

HUBE
Kaikhan Salakhov’s practice merges art, architecture, philosophy, science fiction, and spirituality to imagine humanity’s future relationship with the cosmos. Through meticulously hand-painted geometric compositions and speculative visual systems, his work explores the evolution of consciousness, interstellar civilizations, and the intersection between technological advancement and spiritual awareness.

At the center of his practice is the Astral Space Exploration (ASX) Grid, a conceptual framework that maps the physical, philosophical, and spiritual development of civilizations beyond Earth. Drawing from architecture, fractals, quantum physics, integral theory, and speculative cosmology, Salakhov proposes a future where humanity evolves into a multi-planetary species shaped by radically different planetary environments, cultures, and forms of consciousness.

Rather than presenting science as something distant or inaccessible, Salakhov translates complex ideas such as multiverses, post-human evolution, and cosmic geopolitics into immersive visual metaphors. His work positions art as a universal language capable of making abstract scientific and existential questions emotionally resonant, while encouraging reflection on ethics, identity, communication, and the future of sentient life across the universe.
