Salmah Almansoori at Paris MENART Fair

Salmah Almansoori is an Abu Dhabi-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersections of memory, identity, and place through painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, and site-specific installation. Born in Ghayathi, Aldhafra, her work reflects on how landscapes and physical environments absorb personal and collective histories, shaping emotional connections to culture and belonging. Drawing from the rapidly evolving landscape of the UAE, Almansoori creates layered works that examine preservation, transformation, and the traces left behind by time. Her practice often combines archival gestures, material experimentation, and intuitive mark-making to construct visual narratives rooted in lived experience and memory.
