Firetti Contemporary is proud to announce its participation in this year’s Abu Dhabi Art, showcasing three UAE-based artists whose practices explore the intersections of memory, identity, and transformation through material experimentation.

Salmah Almansoori presents Tracing What Remains, a series of paper works crafted from local grasses alongside sculptural pieces that preserve fragments of her hometown, Ghayathi. Her work transforms overlooked materials into vessels of memory, reflecting on the delicate balance between preservation and erasure in a rapidly changing landscape.

Mai Al Remeithi maps the UAE’s evolving landscape through thread, paper, and ceramics, reimagining road networks as metaphors for movement, progress, and collective experience. Her practice captures the rhythm of transformation, where infrastructure becomes both a record of growth and a trace of identity.

Yousra Wahba unveils sculptural forms that unfold like neural blooms, tracing the body as a living map of memory, resilience, and renewal. Through delicate yet powerful compositions, she explores the unseen networks that shape our sense of self and continuity.

Together, these practices weave a dialogue between land, city, and body—inviting reflection on how histories are held, erased, and reimagined in material form.
