‘Translucent Threads of Life’ by Yousra Wahba at Firetti Contemporary

Identity Magazine
Yousra Wahba’s solo exhibition Translucent Threads of Life explored themes of resilience, femininity, transformation, and the interconnectedness between humanity and nature through sculpture and installation. Working primarily with transparent resin, Wahba created immersive forms that balanced fragility and strength, using translucency as both a material and symbolic language to reflect the delicate yet enduring nature of life.

The exhibition unfolded through multiple series that examined emotional and psychological states inspired by the sea, organic structures, and the rhythms of the natural world. Combining scientific precision with poetic abstraction, Wahba’s practice investigated how beauty can emerge from vulnerability, while also reflecting on healing, memory, and the resilience of the female spirit.

Rooted in both artistic experimentation and philosophical reflection, the works invited viewers into contemplative environments where material, light, and transparency became metaphors for emotional depth, inner transformation, and the invisible forces that shape human existence.
